AN  EVENING WITH "ZORBA"

The July 1 book discussion featured Zorba the Greek by Kikos Kazantzakis. This novel, written over 50 years ago and memorialized by the movie of the same name, tells of the life of an ebullient, older lignite miner on Crete. He revels in the pleasures of eating, drinking, women, and dancing. His influence on a scholarly, ascetic newcomer boss is the focus of the story.

Art and Elaine Brody hosted the event at their home. Larry Larsson handled reservations.
