A group of ten members of The Graduates turned out for this event; we tasted two whites and three reds. Jim Folks had a nice selection of a champagne, viognier, a syrah, a Spanish red (the name of which I forget...) and a merlot. With munchies! |

| Jim Folks operates Los Padres
Wine and Spirits on upper State street and invites us to one of his regular
Friday wine tasting events. Newcomers' groups went there, and had a good
time. So... on Friday, October 4, let's return for wine-tasting, which
hopefully will kick off a continuing wine-appreciation committee for The
Graduates!
When and Where: Friday, October 4, 5:30 p.m. at Los Padres Wine and Spirits, 3411 State Street, SB. The shop is located just west of the Loreto Plaza, which is at the corner of State and Las Positas streets. Cost: $5 per person, at the door. Reservations: Yes, as space is somewhat limited, we can accommodate only 15 people for this inaugural event. Please call Evelyn Kert at 682-5347, and leave a message if you miss her.
