and is in charge of the air show at Camarillo airport, just a few miles "south" on 101. Diana will set up an area right on the tarmac for a great view of the show. John will be flying in his Iskra Polish fighter trainer jet (See the photo by Brian Lockett of the Goleta Air & Space Museum!).

Date August 23-24,  8:00 am to 4:00

Cost $8.00, with proceeds going to support aviation in the community through the
Experimental Aircraft Association, Chapter 723. This chapter also supports the Young Eagles program that offers free first flights to youth each month.

Start your day with a pancake breakfast cooked by the Ninety-Nines (female pilots). Many of the experimental pilots will do fly-bys starting at 9:00. Allow time to view classic cars on display from the Ford motor company, helicopters, military jets, warbirds, airplane rides, commemorative Air Force Museum souvenirs and gifts, food and beverages.

A very special part of this day is talking with World War II aces and pilots, eager to share their stories and memorabilia.
