Lawn Bowling - April 12, 2003 with the Santa Barbara Lawn Bowls Club

Lawn bowling is fun-- It's sort of a cross between bowling, shuffleboard, a walk in the sun, and a stand-up social event! It's also easy, so the fun starts at the first session. Graduates joined the Club for an open house at MacKenzie Park, which included a light lunch, instructions on lawn bowling, and time to practice newly-learned skills.

Dress code is simple: Wear flat-soled shoes (no tread or spikes, please!).

MacKenzie Park is at Las Positas and Upper State streets -- you know, across Las Positas from Harry's Bar and Restaurant. Go to the upper level where you'll find a nice clubhouse, the lawn bowling area and lots of nice people.
