Hike - Saturday, January 10, 2004, 9:00 AM
We're having a great time and staying "in tone" at the same time -- even having a great brunch! It's more fun with a larger group! Ideas for outings? E-mail the graduates!
Directions: Take Cold Springs Road (turn toward the mountains at the fire station on Sycamore Canyon Road - Rt 192; it's between Ashley Road and Stoddard Lane), turn right on Mountain Drive, go 1/2 mile and park near the creek crossing. The trail starts to go up the creek. Description: Beautiful trail in lush canyon with creek, small pools, and alder trees. Chaparral vegetation at the higher elevation section of the trail. A rather steep trail in the beginning, but it levels off, and the views are well worth the climb! Helpful hints: Be sure to bring
drinking water. Lots of poison oak. Friends: Bring 'em all! Cost: None, except for optional brunch after the hike, at a place we'll choose during the hike. Reservations: None -- Rain cancels.
