This presentation on the "Third Age" was given by Dr. Peter Brill and David Debin,
at the home of Christine and Michael Holland on January 15, 2004

Peter Brill of The Third Age Foundation discusses ways to meet the aging process with creativity and joy.
He helps us discard old notions of aging as a series of physical declines which  negatively impact our quality of life,
and helps us replace this old model of aging with a new model which recognizes that aging is
independent of our physical state and is based on a concept of "continuing rising energy".
Through his presentation and interaction with the group,
he delineated a 7-step process for recognizing and using this new model for aging.

Dr. Peter Brill is an M.D, a psychiatrist and an entrepreneur who has started and run a number of national
companies dealing with psychological development. He writes a column on the Third Age for the Montecito Journal.
On his radio show, also called the Third Age, he has interviewed over 400 people
who had figured out their own answers to the questions and problems of aging.

David Debin is a former Hollywood producer and screenwriter. He has published novels and non-fiction books,
and he teaches creative writing at Antioch University and at the Santa Barbara City College.
He recently produced a television pilot, "Young at Heart", based on the concept that life can get better as we age.
