Carriage Decorating for Fiesta -- with SB Newcomers!  August 5, 5:30 PM

Graduates:
We are again invited to join the Newcomers to help decorate the carriages for the Fiesta Parade. This is a special event for The Graduates, because many of us have done this before, and we are considered special since we are the Old Newcomers, who know what they are doing (even if we don't)!!! Come join this event again and work with beautiful live flowers and be a real part of fiesta. It's a great time to mix with old and new newcomers. See you there!

Description: Come join us and help decorate wonderful vintage horse-drawn carriages for Friday's Old Spanish Days Parade. This is the 10th year that Newcomers has participated in this way, and the evening is rewarding and a lot of fun. We will meet at 5:30 pm for margaritas and Mexican food. Afterward we will break up into teams guided by Newcomer decorating experts and work on individual carriages. Margaritas, soft drinks, a Mexican food buffet and desserts will be available throughout the evening.

Come dressed in jeans or casual attire with comfortable shoes since we will be standing all evening. Remember to bring a jacket or sweatshirt as we will be working outside. You will also need to bring plant clippers and/or strong scissors, as well as a pair of gardening gloves, because we will be working with fresh flowers. You might want to bring a camera.

Graduates parcipants included: Ellen and Bob Lilley, Darlene Amundsen, Richard and Simone Schapker, Dottie Milici, Norris and Carol Hundley, Sissy Taran, Sally Hinton, Rick Marcellin and family (then in Newcomers, soon to be Graduates!), Gerry Beck and Susan Engle from Goleta Newcomers, and a cast of hundreds!
