Julie and Malcolm Campbell
have organized a Geology Field Trip for the Graduates.
Please call Julie
or e-mail her and let her know your interest
about this event.
If you have a van and might
be able to drive, please let Julie know about this also.
The Geological Venture will
start with meeting the group at Tucker's Grove Park, Area B, at 9:30 AM
and depart for the Old San Marcos Pass. Tucker's Grove is on the mountain
side of Cathedral Oaks Road, at the north end of Turnpike Road.
We will look at the whole
picture of the SB geology going from there to Stearns Wharf to see the
transversion and regression of formations and then return to the park.
Suggest small vans due to the windy road. We will make stops on way so
need few vehicles due to limited parking areas.
We plan to do this venture
on April 17th with a rain date of the following Saturday.
The
Geology Event is currently full, as a result of excellent response
to the earlier e-mail announcement.
Julie and Malcolm will take
a wait list, since the event is in April, and members' schedules may change
in the meantime.
However, Julie and Malcolm
will be out of town February 16th through March 8th.
So please contact them either
before of after those dates.
We may not see this, but the event will be geologically cool!
