As previously announced, the next Graduate gourmet dinner will
honor Julia Child, iconic gourmet cooking teacher. Thanks to Polly Clement
for this event idea.
A menu committee (Nancy Lieberman, Marilyn Conrad, and Marie-Paule Hajdu)
have pored over their well-worn Julia Child cookbooks and have decided
on the French feast detailed below. If you would like to participate
in preparation of this special dinner at a volunteer Graduate home on November,
13 let Nancy know. Let her know too
if you can host a table of 8 to 10 people at your home.
Costs will be shared equally on the night of the dinner as usual.
Bring your own preferred wine or drink.
Entre Coq au Vin (chicken in red wine with onions, mushrooms and bacon)
Tomates a la Provencale (tomatoes stuffed with bread crumbs, herbs
& garlic)
Petit Pommes de Terre au Persil (parsleyed small potatoes)
Dessert Poires Pochées au vin rouge (pears poached in red wine)
