Many
of you have been holding off making your reservation for the campout next
weekend, September 25-26. Now it is almost here! So give Florence
Michel a call and be sure you don't miss this fun event held just over
the mountain in the Paradise Camp Ground.
If
you have questions about it, just call; but join in, be part of this special
weekend. You don't want to miss the relaxed atmosphere, a chance
to get to know some of the Graduates better, sitting around the fire after
the barbeque and making s'mores and singing old songs, sleeping under the
stars and waking up to the aroma of coffee in the morning and a great breakfast.
This
is the second campout for The Graduates and we hope it will be every bit
as successful as last year!
The report from Roger Hoyt
and Berkeley Meigs is that the new camp site is even better than last year.
Florence Michel is taking
reservations for the event
and Norm Jacobs and Marilyn
Conrad are the campfire food chefs.
Those interested in helping
can call Florence also.
The cost is $20
per person which covers a wonderful morning breakfast, firewood, camp
site fees and other goodies!
Write checks payable to
Michael Koelsch and send them to Florence.
Can you cook over an
open fire? Build an open fire? Sing around the campfire? (Syd:
Guitar dusted off?)
Hone those skills with the
help of last year's experts!
Caballo #5 camp site is set
up as an equestrian campsite
and affords us a large picnic
table area that surrounds the campfire we will have.
It has the large charcoal
grill like we had last year and nearby toilet facilities.
"This was a FANTASTIC
event last year. I even stayed overnight and I'm not a camper!"...
(Ellen)
The site will take 50 campers,
so get on the list soon for helping &/or attending.
