PARTY FOR LÁ LE PÁDRAIG
(Saint Patrick's Day)
"Sure
and it's Top O' the Mornin' to you, me Graduate Lads and Lasses!"
It's
cumin that magic time again, when we honor our own dear St. Patrick.
Sure 'n that means a grand party!
We'll
toast the Beloved Auld Sod, our Beloved St. Paddy, our Beloved own Mather
and Da, Our Beloved Each Other, and the World in General. Bring your own
poison (green beer, wine, Irish Whiskey, whatever). And to go along with
all that toastin', we'll be dining on the National Treasure - the one and
only FATA ( Irish Potato)! Only this won't be just your old time
country fata. No, this will be Irish with a California twist: Potatoes
fairly burstin with delicious stuffins'! Choose your own stuffin' from
a big selection: stuff like bacon or corn beef, broccoli and cheese, sour
cream and chives, and other surprises you've never been thinkin' o' puttin'
in your spud, and a grand big salad, and some good Irish bread.
Now
what could make this a grander occasion, you'll be wonderin? Our
own favorite Irish musicians, of course. The Foggy Dew will be celebratin'
with us once again. And Willie Quinn has promised to bring his darlin'
wee girls, to sing for us.
You'll
be wearin o' the Green, of course. And bring your best Irish voice
if you'll want to be joinin' in the singin'.
We'll
be seein' you there, and, till then, May the Good Lord hold you in the
hollow of his hand.
