GARLIC: a Rose of a Different Scent -- August 20, 2-5:30 pm

Another great event from the SB Museum of Natural History!
Sunday, August 20, 2:00—5:30 p.m.

Exploring the natural world of garlic begins with a panel discussion starring Chester Aaron, author of "Garlic!," and  Andrea Frocillo, Executive Chef of "The Stinking Rose Restaurant" in San Francisco.  Learn about cooking techniques (for example did you know that you can make delicious roasted garlic in the microwave?), history (Tutankhamen was buried with—in addition to all those other treasures—6 perfectly preserved heads of garlic), and health benefits, (garlic may be able to reduce stress, regulate blood pressure, and more).  And learn how to grow exotic garlic in your backyard or patio. Then enjoy mouthwatering recipes prepared by local chefs and sample complimentary local wines on the shady creek side patios.

Once again we have been given a special group rate of $40.  No need to call ahead to reserve; just send your check to Polly Clement
