MUSIC ACADEMY PICNIC CONCERT THURS. JULY 20
--
Graduates: A message from Ernie Marx,

Most of you know the drill for the Music Academy Picnic Concerts, but in case you have not been before with a group or have forgotten here are a few more details.

Look for the Graduates tables (20 attendees) in one of the picnic areas where we will have reserved tables.  If we are not in Anne's Garden or the long rectangular area toward the beach side of the property, then we will be in the paved patio behind Lehmann Hall.  That patio is accessed by walking into Lehmann Hall, and then out the glass doors. The Marxes, Barb & Ernie, will distribute tickets at the picnic.

The Graduates are going to the July 20 Picnic Concert at Music Academy of the West!  The tradition of bringing a picnic to enjoy on the beautiful Miraflores grounds before these wonderfully eclectic chamber music programs is more popular than ever. Your evening starts with a "self-catered" picnic.  There are numerous comfortable tables and chairs on the grounds.  Arrive at a convenient time to enjoy your dinner fixins with other Graduates.  Thereafter, at 7:00 you may choose to attend "Young Artists Speak Up", a preview of some of the evening's music with featured young artists.  This preview is a new feature this year.

The performance itself goes on at 7:30.

The Academy will discount the ticket price for our group to $13.60, a savings over the normal price of $16.00.

Tickets will be distributed in front of Abravanel Hall at the Academy at 6:45 that evening.   The Academy has set aside 20 seats for us. Robin can take 20 reservations plus a short wait list. No refunds after July 5th. Please notify Robin if you find you cannot attend after making reservation, so someone else can take your place.

The Academy is located at 1070 Fairway Rd., Santa Barbara. Parking is on the grounds.
