Exotic Flora Walking Tour
The Graduates are invited for
an Exotic Flora walking tour of UCSB campus and the Greenhouse led by Joan
Calder, Greenhouse manager Sunday July 15 at 10:00 A.M.
The tour takes you on an hour-long
loop through some of the most unique and prized tree specimens on campus,
for example - African tulip tree (Spathodea campanulata), Montezuma cypress
(Taxodium mucronatum), and a Jurassic Park courtyard, home to various plants
whose ancestors were present with the T. rex. After the walk the Greenhouse
will reveal present research as well as orchids, gingers, and other tropical
plants.

receive directions. Parking is $2.00.
Please wear comfortable walking
shoes, hat, sunscreen, water. if necessary. The entire tour should be approximately
1.5 hours – 2 hours.
You may wish to bring friends
and plan lunch after the tour at the Beachside Bar Café, 5905 Sandspit
Rd, Goleta
