Where: Meet at the parking area in front of the Mission. (We will carpool, since parking at the trailheads is limited.)
Helpful hints: Be sure to bring drinking water. Shoes with good tread are recommended. A sun-hat is a good thing.

This hike starts at the Cater water treatment plant at the mountain end of San Roque Rd. It's possible to get to Inspiration Point using this trail, and a part of the Tunnel Trail. We'll plan to do that if everyone agrees as we proceed. 

This hike can be a challenge at 7 miles round trip. It's a beautiful hike in the shade that starts in riparian environs and ends up in the lower chaparral on a level ridge with a lovely and close view of Santa Barbara.

The hike is moderately steep at times, with an approximate 1200 ft elevation gain. We'll plan a length and a pace that's "do-able" for everyone.
