Mark your calendars for a Latin American Jazz Septet at the Unitarian Society on March 16th at 3:00. Composer and percussionist Luis Munoz, who lives in SB, was born and raised in Costa Rica. He is a successful jazz composer who has won many awards including the Central American equivalent of the Grammy award for the best new jazz recording in 2006 with his CD titled "Vida" (Life). 

His ensemble plays jazz festivals and includes Brad Dutz on marimba, Jonathan Dane on trumpet, George Friedenthal on keyboards, Tom Etchard on bass, Costa Rican guitarist, Narcisco Sotomayor and percussionist, Lorenzo Martinez.
