The SB Maritime Museum and
Captain Ed Venable are offering Graduates several opportunities throughout
the summer and fall to cruise along the SB coast aboard the Ranger. This
is a chance to see the shoreline and mountains from a different perspective,
while also inspecting a floating Museum exhibit. Ranger is a 42-ft sport-fishing
boat built in 1917 and refurbished with SBMM donations. She is a classic
design of the era with large varnished deckhouse, fantail stern, and fishing
cockpit.
Reservations can be
made for pre-arranged groups of 6 passengers only. Dates will be arranged
with the organizing Graduate, and guests are welcome. However, all passengers
must be able to climb steps and walk on the deck of a moving boat unaided,
if necessary. Passengers should wear soft-soled shoes and bring a jacket
for evening breezes.
The group is encouraged to
bring beverages and easily-passed appetizers (no dips or potato chips please)
to make the cruise a festive occasion. Passengers will also receive an
entry pass to the SBMM.
Contact Kathy Weber
for dates and reservations.
Cost is $15 per passenger,
which will be donated to the SBMM Ranger Restoration Fund. Send checks (payable
to The Graduates) to Kathy Weber.
Payment must be received at least 2 weeks prior to the cruise to hold your
reservation.

front of the SBMM, 113 Harbor Way, SB Waterfront at 4:45.
