Some of us may not know that we have
right here in Santa Barbara at UCSB what has been recognized as the "greenest"
laboratory facility in the USA. Would you like to find out more about what's
going on there?
Here is a brief sample of information
about the School from their website http://www.esm.ucsb.edu/
The Donald Bren School of Environmental
Science and Management at UCSB has earned a reputation as one of the top
schools of its kind in the nation. It is among a handful of schools in
the United States and the only one in the West that integrate science,
management, law, economics, and policy as part of an interdisciplinary
approach to environmental problem-solving.
The School pursues its research- and
education-based mission at Bren Hall, a cutting-edge structure that has
been recognized as the "greenest" laboratory facility in the United States.
It is home to a collection of superbly equipped laboratories, computer
centers, lecture halls, and other teaching and meeting places that support
instruction, research, and the development of tomorrow's most capable scientists
and environmental managers.
This is going to be a great local
learning experience and lots of fun time to visit with other graduates.
