Bring your most elegant hors d'oeuvre for 20 to share. (Remember, the event covers the dinner hour.) Sip champagne. Enjoy the music of the era and dance, if you wish, to the live music of Steve Woods. You might even want to have your picture taken with the Bielens' beautiful car.

Here is some interesting (and fictional!) information to read while you're waiting for the party to begin:
America's Richest: Page 16 from The Forbes Fictional Fifteen
Edited by Michael Noer and Dan AckmanGatsby, Jay - Age 23

Net Worth: $600 Million (Racketeering) --- Hometown: West Egg, NY --- Marital Status: Single
Born James Gatz in North Dakota. Built mysterious fortune through association with gamblers and bootleggers. Modern day Trimalchio, enjoys entertaining neighbors at Long Island estate modeled after Normandy's Hotel de Ville. Measures extravagance with crates of oranges and lemons. One colleague says Jay "would never so much look at a friend's wife." Some have proof otherwise. With no legitimate business, critics say life of leisure will be the death of him. Learned the value of a dollar from silver baron Dan Cody. Served briefly in World War I. Adhered as teenager to rigorous daily schedule of study and sport. An avid sailor.  --Ari Weinberg

Trimalchio is a character in the Roman "novel" The Satyricon by Petronius.
"He was a gaudy, fat man... newly rich and taken to extreme excess. But lovable, in a sort of Falstavian way."

What a wonderful time we all had at this year’s Great Gatsby hosted by Berkeley Meigs and Mike McCaleb. The ocean view from their beautiful home could not have been better with a clear sunshiny day. Everybody was in white in keeping with the Great Gatsby theme and dancing to the music by Steve. There was also plenty to eat as everyone furnished an appetizer along with some delicious deserts. Champagne was also served. An added treat was the vintage model Rolls Royce owned by Gary & Kathy Bielen serving as a photo op for many at the party.

The committee was headed by Ellen Lilley with committee members Barb Kane, Fran Sanders, Barb Cunningham, Ellie Tuazon, Doris Frey, Lyn Ellis, Dale Charpentier, Richard and Simone, Marilyn Conrad and Norm Jacobs, Don Graves and Elizabeth Foster.

Those attending the event were: Pat & Bob Fulmer, Kathy & Gary Bielen, Roger Hoyt, Mary Lou and Gary Kravetz, Michael Koelsch & Elle Sternberg, Tina & Dwight Coffin, Jerry Harwin & Helen Caldwell, Polly Clement, Beverly Kirkpatrick, Mary Janet Paisley, Bette & Claude Saks, Joan & Tom Dent, Judy Caldwell, Muriel Slevin & Bill DePriest, Laura McCormick, Florence Michel & Dale Charpentier, Darlene Amundsen, Marge & Don Graves, Lucy Bell (Marge’s Sister), Alan Bildner, Richard Miller, Elden Dellanina, Carole Hudson (guest of Darlene), Carole Edwards ( guest of Darlene), Mary Freericks and Nan Cisney
